Baseball Game Preview: Decatur Seahawks vs. Parkside Rams

The Decatur Seahawks will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Parkside Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Decatur 2.8, Parkside 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Monday, Decatur got the win against Wicomico by a conclusive 17-1. The result was nothing new for the Seahawks, who have now won three contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Parkside got themselves on the board against Bennett on Monday, but Bennett never followed suit. They won by a run and slipped past the Clippers 1-0. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Clippers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Parkside's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Decatur, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Decatur came out on top in a nail-biter against Parkside when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will Decatur repeat their success, or does Parkside has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
