The Cochranton Cardinals are taking a road trip to square off against the Grove City Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cochranton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

Cochranton's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Mercer as Cochranton made off with a 6-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Grove City's offense. They came up short against Mercer on Tuesday, falling 8-0. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Cochranton pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Grove City, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Cochranton took their victory against Grove City in their previous matchup back in March of 2021 by a conclusive 9-1. Does Cochranton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Grove City turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
