Basketball Game Preview: Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones vs. Lennox Orioles

The Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones will challenge the Lennox Orioles at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday.

Last Thursday, Clark/Willow Lake ended up a good deal behind Sisseton and lost 55-37. The Cyclones haven't had much luck with the Redmen recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Lennox humbled Baltic with a 65-28 victory. Given the Orioles' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 109th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lennox has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.4 points over those games. As for Clark/Willow Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Clark/Willow Lake took a serious blow against Lennox in their previous meeting back in January of 2018, falling 71-38. Can Clark/Willow Lake avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
