Basketball Game Preview: Skyline Eagles vs. Highland Rams

The Skyline Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Highland Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Skyline and 22 for Highland dating back to last season.

Skyline is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against West on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Skyline was beaten by West 67-27. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Panthers are ranked fourth).

Despite the defeat, Skyline had strong showings from Leelu Bare, who posted eight points, and Estella Myers, who earned ten points.

Meanwhile, Highland scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 49-38 to East.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Highland, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-21.

Skyline took their victory against Highland in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 61-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Skyline since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
