Baseball Game Preview: Omaha Eagles vs. Jasper Pirates

Omaha is 1-9 against Jasper since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Pirates at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Omaha came up short against Viola on Tuesday, falling 18-1.

Meanwhile, Jasper lost 13-6 to Cotter on Tuesday. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Max Davis made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Omaha's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Jasper, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Omaha suffered a grim 18-0 defeat to Jasper in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
