Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oakland). They claimed a resounding 54-3 victory over Dougherty Valley. Oakland not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 14, 2024 (when they won 54-0).

The win was the third in a row for Oakland, bringing their record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.3 points on average over those games. As for Dougherty Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coming up, Oakland will challenge Skyline at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Dougherty Valley, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Livermore at 7:15 p.m. on the 24th.
