Basketball Recap: Bedford Comes Up Short

Bedford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost to the Bishop McCort Crushers at home by a 74-55 margin. If the Bisons were looking for revenge after losing 77-48 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Bedford lost, don't look at Quincy Swaim. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points and five assists. That's the most assists Swaim has posted since back in January of 2024. Aj Koontz was another key player, putting up four points and 12 boards.

Bedford's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Bishop McCort, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Bedford will look to defend their home court on Friday against Clearfield at 6:00 p.m. Clearfield will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Bedford surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bishop McCort, they will host Tyrone at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop McCort knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Tyrone likes a good challenge.
