It was a good run, but Southwest Guilford unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Grimsley Whirlies by a score of 68-66. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Cowboys have suffered since February 27, 2024.

Grimsley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaiah Whitsett, who posted 16 points. Patrick Carter was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Southwest Guilford's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. As for Grimsley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
