Football Recap: Standing Bear Starts Season with Victory at Home

Standing Bear gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They skirted past the Blair Bears 24-21. For the Grizzlies, this counts as revenge for the 56-12 victory the Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Among those leading the charge was Hayden Holdren, who threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns.

Coming up, Standing Bear is taking a road trip to square off against Skutt Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Blair, they will host Pius X at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
