Basketball Recap: National Trail Comes Up Short

National Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Franklin Monroe Jets 58-31. While losing is never fun, the Blazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 770th, while the Jets are ranked 299th).

National Trail's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Franklin Monroe, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-4.

Looking ahead, National Trail won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Milton-Union at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Franklin Monroe, they and Houston will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
