Basketball Recap: Bunker Hill Comes Up Short

Bunker Hill lost against Roxana back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bunker Hill Minutemen lost to the Roxana Shells at home by a 55-36 margin.

Despite the loss, Bunker Hill still got an impressive performance from Will Manar, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Yates, who scored seven points.

Sean Maberry continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Roxana, going 5 for 12 en route to 13 points along with six boards and four steals. That's the most steals Maberry has posted since back in December of 2024. Aiden Stemm was another key player, putting up nine points and six rebounds.

Bunker Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Roxana, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12.

Bunker Hill will take on Mulberry Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Roxana, they will challenge Breese Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
