Softball Recap: Chippewa Valley Comes Up Short

Chippewa Valley fell victim to Utica Eisenhower and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 11-0 to the Eagles. The Big Reds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Chippewa Valley and nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for Utica Eisenhower, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chippewa Valley will welcome Fraser at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Big Reds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ramblers have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Utica Eisenhower, they will be playing at home against St. Clair at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Saints will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
