Volleyball Recap: Suwannee Bulldogs vs. Lowndes Vikings

Suwannee had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 2-0 to the Lowndes Vikings on Tuesday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-20.

Leading Lowndes to victory were Natalie Kolb and Ava Slaven. Kolb had five digs and two aces, while Slaven had six digs and one assist. Those six digs gave Slaven a new career-high.

Lowndes' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Suwannee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Union County on the 21st. As for Lowndes, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Madison County on the 19th.
