Volleyball Recap: Washington County Commanders vs. Nelson County Cardinals
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bullitt East, Washington County was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Nelson County Cardinals. This was a revenge game for the Commanders: when they faced off against the Cardinals back in August, they had to take a 3-1 loss.
The win didn't come easy: Nelson County scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 21-25, 27-25, 25-19.

Washington County's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 7-9. As for Nelson County, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coming up, Washington County will venture away from home to square off against John Hardin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each match than the last. As for Nelson County, they will welcome Thomas Nelson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
