Cassadaga Valley is 0-9 against Clymer/Sherman since May of 2021 but things could change  on Tuesday. The Cougars will head out to  take on the Wolves  at 5:00  p.m. Cassadaga Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1  runs per game  this season.
Having struggled with three  losses in a row, Cassadaga Valley  turned things around against Frewsburg  on Thursday. They walked away with  a   7-3  victory over the Bears.
 Catie Russell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on five hits.

 On the hitting side,  Emiley Anderson was  excellent,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  RBI. Anderson is  crushing it when it comes to  stolen bases: she's   snagged at least one every time she's  taken the field this season.  Anna Burlingame also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
Meanwhile,  after only two  runs in their last  match, Clymer/Sherman made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Frewsburg  on Saturday. The Wolves put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp  15-2 win. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by seven  runs or more this season.
 Elli Bodamer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Bodamer was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Janelle Burchanowski, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with six  RBI, four  runs,  and two  doubles. Another player making a difference was  Addie Wiggers, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Clymer/Sherman  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .641. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Clymer/Sherman's record now sits at 7-2. As for Cassadaga Valley, they now  have a winning record of 4-3.
 Cassadaga Valley suffered a grim  9-2 defeat to Clymer/Sherman  in their previous meeting  back in April. Can the Cougars avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
