Basketball Game Preview: Caldwell Redskins vs. Dover Crimson Tornadoes

The Caldwell Redskins will challenge the Dover Crimson Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Caldwell didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Newcomerstown, but they still walked away with a 51-46 win.

Caldwell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Breighlee Moracco led the charge by putting up 11 points along with five assists and three steals. Moracco is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Laynie Sidwell was another key player, posting 11 points.

Caldwell smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Dover was able to grind out a solid victory over John Marshall on Saturday, taking the game 44-35. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crimson Tornadoes.

Caldwell's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13. As for Dover, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
