Basketball Recap: North Moore Comes Up Short

After soaring to 60 points the game before, North Moore was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They were dealt a 100-28 loss at the hands of the Northwood Chargers. The Mustangs have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why North Moore lost, don't look at Colby Pennington. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds. Pennington is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down ten or more in each of the last seven games he's played.

Isaiah Blair went supernova for Northwood, going 11-for-19 on his way to 27 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Blair a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Fowler, who went 8-for-14 to rack up 18 points and six rebounds.

North Moore's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Northwood, their win was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-2.

North Moore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northwood, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-33 victory against Seaforth on the 18th.
