Baseball Recap: Lone Oak Triumphs

Lone Oak proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by nine) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over the Miller Grove Hornets.

Jett Williams was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Lone Oak now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Miller Grove, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coming up, Lone Oak is taking a road trip to challenge Prairiland at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lone Oak is facing Prairiland at the right time seeing as Prairiland is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Miller Grove, it'll be a Battle of the Bugs Miller Grove Hornets duke it out with Mineola Yellowjackets at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
