McDonald has gone 7-1 against Springfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Blue Devils will welcome the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. McDonald comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

McDonald came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of LaBrae by a score of 8-6 on Friday. On the bright side, the six- run effort marked the Blue Devils' highest-scoring game to date.

Addison Grewell and Kayla Helco did some serious damage despite the final result: Grewell went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Helco scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Grewell also scored a run, marking her first of the season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Springfield was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They lost 9-2 to Jackson-Milton. The Tigers have struggled against the Bluejays recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Springfield saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makenna Wymer, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. Emily Conner was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for McDonald, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

McDonald took their win against Springfield in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 8-1 score. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
