Volleyball Recap: Union Star Takes a Loss

Union Star was the 3-0 winner over South Harrison when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs on Tuesday. Trojans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Bulldogs since Tuesday.

While Union Star was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-12, 25-9.

Union Star's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for South Harrison, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.

Union Star will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Maysville at 6:00 p.m. on October 13. As for South Harrison, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Brookfield at 5:00 p.m.
