Basketball Recap: Idaho City Has No Trouble Against Notus

Idaho City hadn't done well against Notus recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Idaho City Wildcats took down the Notus Pirates 49-31. The Wildcats pushed the score to 40-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Pirates cut but never quite recovered from.

Notus' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Victoria Zamora, who posted nine points. Raven Platt was another key player, putting up five points.

Idaho City's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Notus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Idaho City will square off against Garden Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Notus, they will take on Liberty Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Charter's defense has only allowed 26.3 points per game this season, so Notus' offense will have their work cut out for them.
