Softball Recap: Elkhart Takes Down Northridge in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Elkhart had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Northridge Raiders on Wednesday as they made off with an 11-2 victory. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by seven runs or more this season.

Addison Reid was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Ava Walker, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The win (which was Elkhart's third in a row) raised their record to 16-12. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Northridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-11.

Looking ahead, Elkhart will take on Warsaw at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
