Basketball Recap: Keith Comes Up Short

Keith lost against Southside last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Keith Bears took a hard 63-48 fall against the Southside Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Panthers are ranked 114th).

Despite the loss, Keith still got an impressive performance from Titus Lanier, who went 7 for 15 on his way to 17 points. Eric Hall was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Keith's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Southside, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Keith will head out to challenge University Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southside, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-30 defeat against Selma on the 14th.
