Basketball Recap: Cottondale Hornets vs. Wiregrass Kings
Cottondale had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past the Wiregrass Kings 73-39. The Hornets pushed the score to 61-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Kings had no chance of recovering from.

Leading Cottondale to victory were Trashonn Collins and Tramond Collins. Trashonn went 9 for 13 on his way to 24 points and five rebounds, while Tramond went 10 of 13 on his way to 21 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Those 21 points gave Tramond a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Odom, who posted nine points along with six assists and six boards.
Cottondale has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Wiregrass, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-11.
