The Pine Hills Adventist Eagles were the 35-28 winner over the Mile High Academy Mustangs when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Pine Hills Adventist was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 26-25 to Mile High Academy. While losing is never fun, Pine Hills Adventist can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 1426th in California, while Mile High Academy is ranked 300th in Colorado).

Pine Hills Adventist lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Luke Childers, who scored eight points.

Mile High Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logen Meyers, who scored nine points. Max Ramos was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.

Pine Hills Adventist's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Mile High Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Mile High Academy will take on Aurora West College Prep Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mile High Academy is facing Aurora West College Prep Academy at the right time seeing as Aurora West College Prep Academy is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
