The Emmaus Hornets will face off against the Bethlehem Catholic Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Emmaus has five straight victories, Bethlehem Catholic has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Monday, Emmaus got the win against Pocono Mountain East by a conclusive 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won seven matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Mari Eiswerth made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). Eiswerth was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Avery DeFanti, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Taylor Hauver, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Emmaus kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 11 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Bethlehem Catholic fell victim to Easton Area and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rovers.
Madison Bixler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 11 Ks.
Bethlehem Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Emmaus, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.
Bethlehem Catholic's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Emmaus has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .525. It's a different story for Bethlehem Catholic, though, as they've only averaged .342. Will they be able to contain Emmaus' hitters?
Emmaus took their victory against Bethlehem Catholic when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 17-7 score. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
