Fairmont Senior's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the Elkins Tigers with a sharp 17-5 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Polar Bears considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Shyanne Rowe was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Talia Olivito was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.

Fairmont Senior now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Elkins, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Fairmont Senior will challenge rival Bridgeport at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Elkins is set to square off against their familiar foe Lincoln at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
