Baseball Recap: Houston Math Science & Tech Comes Up Short

If Houston Math Science & Tech was riding high fresh off their 14-2 takedown of Wisdom last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the Westside Wolves by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-4 last Tuesday.

Houston Math Science & Tech dropped their record down to 7-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Westside, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12.

Coming up, Houston Math Science & Tech will head out to face off against Wisdom at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers are facing the Generals at the right time seeing as the Generals are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Westside, they will be playing at home against Tomball Kings at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Homeschool have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
