Lake Fenton had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Pinconning on Saturday. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by  a  10-2 margin over the Spartans. Considering the Blue Devils have won 14 matchups by more than seven  runs this season, Saturday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Maddie Stanton (2027) spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in five consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Parker Beardsley (Mott Community Coll, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base.  Laureena Baehl (2027) was another key player,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with one  home run and three  RBI.
 They weren't the only ones working in the  home run department: Lake Fenton  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've posted since back in April.
Lake Fenton pushed their record up to 25-4 with the  victory, which was their ninth straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Pinconning, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost ten of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record  this season.
 Lake Fenton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  an  8-0  victory against St. Louis on the 17th. As for Pinconning, they have also already played their next match,  a  10-9  win against Dansville on the 17th.
