Basketball Recap: Elk River Takes a Loss

Elk River lost against Centennial back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Elk River Elks took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Centennial Cougars.

Elk River has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 16 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season. Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 11-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elk River will welcome Blaine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Blaine's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 17 games. As for Centennial, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cougars take on the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Centennial is on a ten-game streak of home losses, and Spring Lake Park a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck.
