Soccer Game Preview: Westmont vs. Rochelle Zell Jewish

The Westmont Sentinels will square off against the Rochelle Zell Jewish Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Westmont's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Rochelle Zell Jewish has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

On Saturday, Westmont earned a 3-1 victory over Walther Christian Academy.

The Sentinels hit the Broncos with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Carlee Englebretsen, Kaitlynn Hoover, and Gyselle Sanchez.

Meanwhile, Rochelle Zell Jewish came up short against Cristo Rey St. Martin on Thursday, falling 5-2.

Westmont has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those seven contests. As for Rochelle Zell Jewish, they now have a losing record of 3-4-2.

Westmont suffered a grim 6-3 defeat to Rochelle Zell Jewish in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Sentinels avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
