Volleyball Recap: Grayson Taylor Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat North Gwinnett

Norcross not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 11th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the North Gwinnett Bulldogs. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

While Norcross won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23, 25-20.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Norcross to victory, but perhaps none more so than Grayson Taylor, who had 15 digs. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ellie Ruth Blue, who had 39 assists and eight digs.

Despite the loss, North Gwinnett still got an impressive performance from Harper Phillips, who had 11 assists and six digs.

Norcross' victory bumped their record up to 29-13. As for North Gwinnett, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 22-18.

Norcross has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against South Gwinnett on the 14th. As for North Gwinnett, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Grovetown on the 14th.
