Recap: Holtville Vikings vs. Brawley Wildcats
The Holtville Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 54-27 loss at the hands of Brawley. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Holtville has scored all season.
Domanic Vallejo was his usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with eight steals and six assists for Brawley. The matchup was Vallejo's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Andrew Suarez was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Holtville has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Brawley, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Holtville will be playing at home against Southwest EC at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southwest EC has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 18. As for Brawley, they will head out on the road to face off against Calipatria at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
