Baseball Game Preview: Ridgeline Riverhawks vs. Grantsville Cowboys

The Ridgeline Riverhawks will take on the Grantsville Cowboys at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Ridgeline will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Ridgeline's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Sky View with a sharp 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Riverhawks, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Sam Swan, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Sky View off the board. Swan has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ripken Jensen, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Grantsville didn't have quite enough to beat Morgan on Thursday and fell 5-4. The Cowboys haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Cooper Castagno made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple.

Ridgeline pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Grantsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
