Volleyball Recap: North Dickinson's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

It was a good run, but North Dickinson unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Forest Park Trojans, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss back in September.

North Dickinson took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-21, 28-26.

Aubrey Applekamp paced North Dickinson's offense, picking up seven kills. Applekamp got some help from Raina Ledzian and her 12 assists. Ella Rossi controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

North Dickinson's loss dropped their record down to 15-10-2. As for Forest Park, the victory was the 31st in a row for them, bringing their record up to 35-1.

Coincidentally, North Dickinson and Forest Park will both be playing Bark River-Harris the next time they take the court. The Nordics will head out to face the Broncos at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Trojans will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
