Basketball Recap: Dayvon Evans Key Part of a Team Effort in Tigers Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Strongsville, Cleveland Heights was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Mayfield Wildcats with a sharp 58-35 victory. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cleveland Heights to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dayvon Evans, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine assists. The dominant performance gave Evans a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Paige Swoope, who went 6 of 14 en route to 15 points.

Cleveland Heights pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.3 points. As for Mayfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
