Softball Recap: J.R. Tucker Takes a Loss

Monacan hit J.R. Tucker with a four-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers lost 12-2 to the Chiefs. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chiefs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2015.

J.R. Tucker saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendall Shockley, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for J.R. Tucker and nudges their season record down to 5-10. As for Monacan, their win bumped their record up to 4-12.

Looking ahead, J.R. Tucker is taking a road trip to take on John Marshall at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monacan, they will host L.C. Bird at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
