Baseball Recap: Glenelg Country Starts off Right with Win over Centennial

Glenelg Country took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Centennial Eagles, sneaking past 4-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Dragons as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Glenelg Country saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Armen Kazanjian, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another was Zachary Laycock, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Glenelg Country wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-0 victory against Chen on the 11th. Centennial will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Oakland Mills on March 21st.
