Basketball Game Preview: Clearwater Fightin' Tigers vs. Arcadia Valley Tigers

Clearwater hasn't had much luck against Arcadia Valley recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Clearwater Fightin' Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Arcadia Valley Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Clearwater turned things around against Valley two weeks ago. They breezed by the Vikings to the tune of 57-29.

Meanwhile, Arcadia Valley entered their tilt with Ste. Genevieve on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Dragons by a score of 55-46. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Dragons are ranked 235th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Arcadia Valley's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Clearwater, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Clearwater was taken down by Arcadia Valley 61-28 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Clearwater avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
