Baseball Recap: Penney Takes a Loss

Penney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Buchanan Bulldogs. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Penney's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for East Buchanan, their victory ended a ten-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-15.

Looking ahead, Penney will welcome North Harrison at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. East Buchanan has already played their next game (against South Holt), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
