Flagstaff came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 47-21 to the Coconino Panthers. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Flagstaff lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Will Carpenter, who picked up 85 receiving yards, and also punched in one score on the ground.

Coconino got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jake Hanley out in front who threw for 224 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 125 yards on only 13 carries. Those 125 rushing yards gave Hanley a new career-high. Dylan Callado also helped out as he racked up 150 rushing yards.
