Baseball Game Preview: Midway Vikings vs. Crest Ridge Cougars

For the first time this season, Midway will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will face off against the Crest Ridge Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Saturday, Midway didn't have quite enough to beat Harrisonville and fell 8-7. The Vikings have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Crest Ridge earned a 5-2 victory over Sherwood on Monday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Marksmen recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Crest Ridge's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Midway, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
