Volleyball Recap: Groveton Beats Normangee for Their Third Straight Win

While Groveton's win against Normangee wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians skirted past the Panthers 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kayleigh Albus paced Groveton's offense, picking up ten kills. Albus got some help from Alinda Veng and her 20 assists. Veng was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The victory was the third in a row for Groveton, bringing their record up to 4-2. As for Normangee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coincidentally, Groveton and Normangee will both be playing Brazos the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Cougars at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
