Basketball Recap: Francis W. Parker Comes Up Short

Francis W. Parker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 29-28 to the Schurz Bulldogs. While the Colonels didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 11-6 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Francis W. Parker still got an impressive performance from Spencer Dunbar, who posted 16 points and five boards. Those 16 points gave Dunbar a new career-high.

Francis W. Parker's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Schurz, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Francis W. Parker will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Noble Street College Prep at 5:00 p.m. Noble Street College Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Schurz, they will square off against Mather at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
