Recap: Telluride Miners vs. Mancos Bluejays
The Telluride Miners suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 55-13 loss at the hands of Mancos. Telluride was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-4.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Quinn Paczosa and
Fianna Ahern, who each put up four points. Ahern held things down on the boards with 12 rebounds.
Leading Mancos to victory were Quincy Montoya and Claire Goodwin. Montoya scored 19 points, while Goodwin scored 26 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Goodwin has scored at least a third of Mancos' points.

Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.3 points per game. As for Mancos, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Telluride will head out on the road to square off against Nucla at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Nucla has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
