Softball Recap: Alexandria Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against Lafayette on Monday, Alexandria came back down to earth. The Trojans fell just short of the Mt. Carmel Cubs by a score of 11-9 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Trojans have suffered since March 16, 2024.

Amiyah Wilson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Sarah Grace Buckels, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Alexandria's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 27-9. As for Mt. Carmel, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-12.

While Alexandria had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
