Palatine waltzed into their game on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Highland Park Giants by a score of 2-0. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Giants walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Palatine didn't let Highland Park take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 27-25.

Palatine's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Highland Park, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.

Coming up, Palatine will venture away from home to face off against Schaumburg at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Highland Park, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Vernon Hills on the 15th.
