Volleyball Recap: Armijo Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Armijo's victory against Fairfield wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Royals skirted past the Falcons 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Royals sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Armijo who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 21-25, 25-21, 14-25, 15-10.

Among those leading the charge was Lili Yadao, who had 17 digs. Those 17 digs gave her a new career-high. Chloe Fondersmith also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Armijo's record now sits at 10-3. As for Fairfield, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Armijo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Johnson on the 8th. As for Fairfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Valley on the 8th.
