Baseball Recap: Nemaha Central Comes Up Short

If Nemaha Central was feeling good fresh off their 16-6 takedown of Perry-Lecompton on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Thunder took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kaws on Thursday. Thunder fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Kaws since on Thursday.

Nemaha Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Perry-Lecompton, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nemaha Central will square off against Silver Lake on Monday. As for Perry-Lecompton, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hiawatha on the 28th.
