Basketball Recap: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Comes Up Short

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat. They took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Javelinas this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-49 back in January.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-20.

Looking ahead, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest and Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North will meet in a classic North v. South matchup at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest is facing Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North at the right time seeing as Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, they will be playing at home against Pioneer at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
